Actually, that...Why you gotta bring up old ish? :)

Actually, that's the first thing I noticed when I moved up here. I was staying in a corp apartment off El Camino and I noticed tons of South Indian joints. Always packed too. The OG Saravana Bhavan had 30 minutes waits until 11pm!

Another thing about the restaurants down South is the consistency. You can get consistenly bad food, but you can't find consistently good food. Up here, it seems like owners take more pride in their food and provide great consistency.

And considering the number of Gujaratis down there, there's not a SINGLE Gujarati joint!Jigarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07843603190501877954noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5855363.post-1110403097643777382005-03-09T13:18:00.000-08:002005-03-09T13:18:00.000-08:00I suspect there are more South Indian restaurants ...I suspect there are more South Indian restaurants in NorCal than SoCal because there are more South Indians, especially in Silicon Valley. In fact, I am the lone South Indian male here not working in the tech industry. What you really know about the Dirty South? :)

-AnishAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
